Spotify is rumoured to introduced a new premium tier, called Spotify Music Pro, which is designed to offer additional benefits to subscribers for a higher monthly fee.

As reported by Bloomberg, the Swedish music streaming giant's Music Pro plan is expected to launch later this year, with pricing potentially up to $5.99 per month on top of the existing premium subscription cost.

AI-powered remixing capability on Spotify

While key details have not been finalised by the company, Spotify’s new tier will likely feature higher-quality audio and an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered remixing capability that allows Spotify users to combine songs with different artists.

Other features in Spotify Music Pro tier

On top of remixing, Spotify is testing a concert ticketing feature for its Music Pro subscribers, offering benefits such as presales or preferred seating.

When will the Spotify Music Pro plan be released?

The rollout of Spotify’s Music Pro plan is expected to occur in phases, with additional features and tools to be introduced over time.

The pricing might vary depending on regions, and discounts might also be offered in emerging markets.

Currently, Spotify is also in discussions with promoters, ticket vendors, and music labels to bring this new tier to market.
