Google Photos, the default media manager on Android devices, is developing a new feature called ‘My Week’.
This feature will allow users to share their weekly highlights with family members and friends, keeping everyone up-to-date on each other’s lives. It compiles users’ best photos and videos from the week into a single collection, making it easier to showcase adventures and memories with loved ones.

Additionally, 'My Week' serves as a weekly photo journal for you and your special ones. By tapping on the screen, users can set up their weekly highlights by selecting the photos they wish to share and inviting people to view them. Once the invite is accepted, recipients can like, react, and reply to the shared content.
However, it can be said that the 'My Week' feature bears some resemblance to Instagram’s story highlights.
According to Android Authority, the feature is not available in version 6.90 of Google Photos as it is still in the development process. It is likely to appear in the Memories carousel of the app in the future.
