The Starlink-powered T-Mobile satellite messaging service is set to launch for the public on July 23, 2025.

The service first provides a basic text messaging feature; later on, this year, it is expected to evolve into the data.

While both iOS and Android users can use the text messaging tool, the MMS support feature will be available for Android. However, for iOS, it will become available later this year.

The feature will be free for the consumers who have subscribed to the Experience Beyond plan; however, as announced earlier this year in February, this will cost $10 per month to the non-subscribers.

Moreover, everyone living in the United States will be able to use the service, not only T-Mobile consumers.

It is anticipated that a few apps, such as WhatsApp, AccuWeather, and AllTrails, will be integrated with the service. To create this innovative technology, T-Mobile has teamed up with SpaceX, Apple, and Google.

The action fits into a broader industry trend that aims to bring mobile coverage to underserved areas. The goal of this modern technology is to increase network accessibility, especially in isolated areas.

Despite some regulatory disputes, T-Mobile's T-Satellite service is moving forward, while rivals Verizon and AT&T are pursuing comparable initiatives with different partners.
