2025 Tesla Model Y 'Juniper' specs

Sleek design

The new Model Y adopts a futuristic design, following Tesla's signature bold aesthetic, which draws inspiration from the Cybertruck. It features a full-width slim LED light bar at the front, accompanied by intuitive bumpers and cutting-edge cameras to enhance Autopilot functionality.

At the back, C-shaped LED tail lights seamlessly integrate into another full-width light bar.

In addition, practicality has seen substantial improvements with an automatic boot, 2,130 litres of total storage space, aerodynamic wheels, and a panoramic roof for better efficiency.

Interior

Inside, the minimalist cabin features an spacious 15.4-inch touchscreen, complemented by an 8-inch rear passenger screen for entertainment. Tesla has introduced softer dashboard materials, enhanced soundproofing, ambient lighting, and electronic folding rear seats for improved comfort.

The front seats now feature both heating and ventilation, while the controls are simplified with gear selection and autopilot controls moved to the central touchscreen, streamlining the overall user experience.

Power and performance

Two initial variants are available:

  • The long-range all-wheel-drive model, offering 342 miles per charge,
  • The standard rear-drive variant provides 290 miles.

Both models offer improved charging speeds and exceptional acceleration, with the long-range version reaching 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds. Moreover, users are anticipating a performance version by the end of 2025.

What’s next for Model Y?

With production ramping up in China and Australia, the UK launch is imminent. The 2025 Model Y promises an enhanced user experience, featuring significant tech and comfort improvements, alongside future over-the-air updates to continuously improve the vehicle’s functionality.
