The new Model Y Performance from Tesla, which features notable improvements in power, technology, and aerodynamics, was unveiled in Europe.
This powerful version can reach a top speed of 155 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds.
Better handling and a firmer ride are provided by the adaptive suspension, which also offers new drive modes for aggressive driving.
Tesla Model Y specifications
Exterior changes for the Model Y Performance include new tyres, wheels, carbon fibre aero parts, and front and rear designs.
A 16-inch touchscreen, enhanced sound damping, and new sport seats are all included inside the cabin.
Based on the WLTP cycle measurement in Europe, the estimated range is approximately 360 miles.
Along with sporty models like the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, this variant competes with electric cars like the BMW iX, Audi Q4 e-tron, and Cadillac Lyriq.
Tesla Model Y price
The updates and performance improvements are not inexpensive. While the base rear-wheel drive Model Y costs ₤45,990 ($53,800), the Model Y Performance will cost approximately ₤62,990 ($73,690) in Europe.
Prices for the Performance version of the Model Y are probably going to be lower when it arrives in the US.
The starting price should be slightly higher than the $52,000 starting price of the previous generation Model Y Performance.
Within the next month or two, deliveries are expected to start in European nations, with plans to subsequently extend availability to other markets.
