
In a move aimed at bolstering bilateral relations between the two nations, Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gifted Togg T10X, the first-ever Turkish electric SUV, to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.
Erdogan separately visited the Prime Minister House and the President House to present Turkiye's first national EVs to Zardari and Sharif on different occasions, according to The Express Tribune.
Being the first major EV manufacturer in the country, Togg has been gaining traction in the realm of high-end EVs following the production of its T10X SUV.
The automaker was founded in 2018 as an aftermath of a joint venture initiated by five Turkish companies. It's also backed by the Turkish government and the Union of Chambers and Stock Exchange of Turkey (TOBB).
Togg T10X range and features
In the myriad of high-tech features and functionalities, the T10X stands out for offering an enormous range of up to 523 km (WLTP) on a single charge. It comes in two battery options namely 52.4 kWh and 88.5 kWh batteries for its V1 and V2 models.
For the trim changed with 180 kW DC chargers, refilling is remarkably fast, as the EV is claimed to be recharged from 20% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
While its exquisite form factor, coupled with eco-friendly technology, is a testament to the company's commitment to environmental sustainability, the all-new Turkish SUV picks up from 0 an acceleration of 100 km/h in just 7.4 seconds and delivers up to 218 horsepower.
