Vivo is set to announce the newest foldable smartphone, Vivo X Fold 5, in Pakistan on August 12, 2025. The official price will also be given on launch day.

The X Fold 5 is running on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is one of the leading flagship processors in the last couple of years.

Vivo X Fold 5 specifications

The phone runs on FunTouch OS 15 on top of Android 15 from the factory, and Vivo has committed to four years of OS updates, enabling a longer period of software support for customers.

Both the AMOLED cover display and the inner AMOLED display use a 20MP selfie camera, meaning that the foldable is equally useful for selfies whether it is open or closed.

Vivo partnered with ZEISS for the camera system; they have a premium triple camera system (all 50MP) on the back (main with OIS, ultrawide, and 3x periscope telephoto). ZEISS’ T lens coating* also helps with clarity and reduces glare. It uses UFS 4.1 storage for better speeds and 8K video recording at 30 fps.

One of the biggest upgrades was in the battery. The X Fold 5 is the same thinness as previous generations, and it has a new 6000 mAh battery, the most significant battery in the Vivo foldable lineup. The charging speed isn't too shabby either, with 80W wired and 40W wireless for quick top-ups.
