WhatsApp is developing a new widget that will provide quick access to the Meta AI chatbot features. This update will offer three shortcuts for users to interact with the chatbot.

Available on the WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.4.10.74 via the App Store, the update is currently being rolled out to beta testers who have downloaded the WhatsApp beta.

New shortcuts on WhatsApp

The first shortcut will allow users to ask Meta AI a question instantly, eliminating the need to navigate the app to start a conversation. Tapping the button, WhatsApp will automatically open a chat with Meta AI, ready to receive the user's prompt.

Additionally, the second shortcut will enable users to send a photo directly to Meta AI, utilising the chatbot's image editing and analysis capabilities.

This feature will be particularly useful for users seeking quick image edits or requiring context about an image.

To enhance accessibility, the third shortcut will activate voice chat mode, allowing users to interact with Meta AI using voice commands instead of typing.

The addition of the Meta AI widget will likely streamline interactions with the chatbot, saving users time and effort.

It is worth noting that the widget will be optional, meaning users can choose whether to add it to their home screen.
