Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp has announced the release of a feature: a new and distinctive interface to share channel updates in Status.

The updated interface will initially be available to select beta testers having the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.1.6 update. However, the feature is set to be launched in a full-fledged manner and be available to a wider audience over the coming weeks.

"The updated interface for sharing channel updates to Status is a clear manifestation of the platform’s commitment to enhancing the user experience," according to WABetaInfo.

With the new feature made to address the faulty chat attachment sheet, WhatsApp aims to ensure enhanced user experience and fostered engagement for status replies.

The messaging app will dedicate the entire new layout to the channel update, aiming to improve the clarity of the content shared as Status from the channel.

How to check if your WhatsApp has updated Channel interface

On top of that, if a user wants to check if the new feature is already available to his account, he simply needs to share a channel update to his status. The quickest way to do this is by forwarding a channel update.

Besides this feature, WhatsApp has also introduced another way into the status subtitle which allows users to instantly access and view the content from the channel linked to it.

The buffed-up interface brings a friendlier layout, simplifying it for users to interact and access shared channel updates.
