Since the outset of 2025, Pakistan's mobile phone manufacturing industry has been experiencing ups and downs, meaning that some brands thrived while others faced challenges.

From January to July 2025, Infinix stood as the smartphone maker that produced the most mobile phones in Pakistan, assembling 2.01 million units and solidifying its position in the market.

VGO TEL remains the largest assembler overall, with 2.12 million units, primarily in feature phones. Following Infinix, itel produced 1.53 million smartphones, while vivo lagged behind with only 1.38 million units, despite significant investment in marketing.

Redmi assembled 1.04 million units, Samsung produced 0.93 million, and TECNO contributed 0.89 million units. This puts vivo in a tough spot, squeezed between stronger mid-tier competitors and emerging budget brands, PhoneWorld reported citing data provided by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA).

This performance marks a stark contrast to 2024 when vivo had impressive growth, assembling 2.77 million units compared to just 1.07 million in 2023. However, in 2025, vivo's progress has stalled, raising concerns about its competitiveness against Infinix and itel.

As there's a considerable remainder of the ongoing left to go, industry experts predict that Infinix has gained a firm control, adding that vivo struggles to regain its momentum in Pakistan's smartphone market.
