Klein Vision’s AirCar, a real flying car, is finally going into production. as proclaimed that the world's first commercially produced flying car, which has been certified for flight, will go on sale early in 2026.

Flying cars have long been a dream of the future, and now, it's becoming a reality. The AirCar can drive on the road and take off as an aeroplane, providing a novel combination of mobility and innovation.

Klein Vision's AirCar: World's first flying car

The car was recently displayed at the Living Legends of Aviation Gala in Beverly Hills, where the founder of Klein Vision, Stefan Klein, was presented with a special award for Engineering Excellence.

The AirCar has registered 170 hours of airtime with more than 500 safe takeoffs and landings. It is capable of flying at a cruising speed of 135 knots or 155 mph, has a range of 620 miles, and is capable of flying as high as 10,000 feet, much higher with supplementary oxygen.

On the road, it is capable of covering up to 497 miles and reaching speeds of up to 124 mph.

Interestingly, the most unique thing about this car is that it makes a rapid change from car to aircraft. Within a minute and a half, the vehicle's wings come out, its tail unfolds, and it's airborne. It even has a parachute system built in for protection.

“The goal was to create a sports car that behaves like one, and in the air, it performs just like a real aircraft,” said co-founder of Klein Vision Anton Zajac.
