As part of the ID@Xbox Fall 2025 Showcase, it was announced that nine new day-one games would soon be available on Xbox Game Pass.

This new batch of titles, which features a selection of action, strategy, and indie adventure games, offers players a variety of gaming experiences, including relaxing multiplayer games and terrifying sequels in the horror genre, and it highlights the best of the variety that has made Game Pass one of the most popular gaming subscription services today.

Like other game subscription services, Xbox Game Pass provides members with unlimited access to a curated and rotating library of titles through a fixed monthly or yearly plan.

Day one games are the titles that release on every platform, Game Pass and stand-alone, on the same day, allowing Xbox Game Pass subscribers to play those new games the same day as release.

Day one games coming to Xbox Game Pass:

  • Aphelion (2026)
  • Awaysis (Coming Soon)
  • Darkwood II (Coming Soon)
  • Dome Keeper (December 9)
  • Egging On (November 6)
  • Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road (2026)
  • Planet of Lana II (2026)
  • Routine (December 4)
  • Sledding Game (Coming Soon)

Among the lineup are, among the most anticipated, Darkwood II, a sequel to the cult classic horror gameplay, and Awaysis, a colourful dungeon-battler.

Meanwhile, with its multiplayer sandbox world, Sledding Game adds a cosy, snowy twist to the lineup of anticipated content.

Fans can also circle November 6 for Egging On, a quirky platformer, and December 4 for Routine, a sci-fi survival horror first-person shooter.

Moving into 2026, Planet of Lana II, Aphelion, and Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road will join the service, so Xbox players will have much to look forward to.
