Xbox price hike 2025: Consoles, controllers, and games now cost more

Xbox fans will have to shell out higher amounts for their beloved gaming items. Microsoft has raised the prices of Xbox consoles, controllers, and certain new first-party games in the global market. 

This Xbox price increase 2025 impacts the United States, Europe, the UK, Australia, and many other areas.

Xbox Series X new prices 

The Xbox Series X now costs $599.99 in the US, a $100 increase. The Xbox Series S (512GB) is moving from $299.99 to $379.99. 

Its 1TB variant now costs $429.99, and the new digital-only Xbox Series X retails for $549.99. The Galaxy Black special edition (2TB) has increased to $729.99. 

These new Xbox console prices are already available in most markets.

Xbox accessories cost more too. The standard wireless controller is now $64.99, and the Xbox wireless headset is $119.99. 

Meanwhile, the same price increases are occurring in Europe and the UK. For instance, the Xbox Series S (512GB) now costs £299.99 / €349.99, and the Series X costs £499.99 / €599.99.

New Xbox games will also see a $10 price hike, moving from $69.99 to $79.99 beginning this holiday season. This is in line with the top Nintendo Switch 2 titles. 

Furthermore, there is no price alteration for Xbox Game Pass, which remains the best bargain for players who need access to a vast library of games.
