Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its Xiaomi 17 series, comprising of the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, in China on September 25, 2025.
According to the company, the Xiaomi 17 series will be the first to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is a new processor.

On Weibo, the company shared in a post that the Xiaomi 17 will feature a 6.3-inch flat display with “ultra-elliptical R-angle” corners and a 19.6:9 aspect ratio.
On the front, the smartphone will sport “ultra-narrow” bezels measuring 1.18mm. It will weigh about 191g and have ultra-narrow 1.18mm bezels. In addition, it will feature a "four-micro-curved" middle frame and a monochromatic glass lens.
The selfie camera will have a hole-punch cutout on top of the screen. A Leica-branded triple camera setup with an LED flash, contained within a square camera module, will be visible on the rear.
According to the company, the Xiaomi 17 will be launched in two colour options: Blue and white.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Pro series will be available in "Forest Green" and "Cold Smoke Purple" colourways. The Pro model phones will sport a flat display with 1.18mm bezels.
Xiaomi Mobile Phone Department President Lu Weibing noted that the Xiaomi 17 will provide a thorough upgrade over the Xiaomi 15 without raising the price.
