
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which promises major camera upgrades and a refined design.
The upcoming device is expected to build on the success of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and further strengthen Xiaomi’s position in the premium smartphone market.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra specs
Reportedly, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to come with a quad-camera configuration, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor, and a 200MP periscope camera.
For the main sensor, it is expected that it uses a 1-inch OmniVision OVX10500U sensor to improve low-light performance and accurate detail per shot. A 50MP front camera is anticipated to allow for sharper selfies and video calls.
Additionally, the new smartphone comes with the rumoured Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB RAM, and 512GB of storage. The leaks suggest that it has a WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display to allow rich colours and smooth visuals. A 7,000mAh battery could allow for all-day battery life.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also expected to feature satellite connectivity capabilities, new image processing features, and 8K video recording capability.
