
Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan has accomplished a remarkable milestone in China, delivering 130,000 units within nine months of its launch. This accomplishment exceeded the brand’s updated annual delivery goal, highlighting robust market demand for the flagship in China.
Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan was unveiled on March 28, 2023. The model garnered tremendous attention by securing up to 50,000 orders within 27 minutes of its launch. Despite initial supply chain challenges, the company successfully ramped its manufacturing efforts, increasing monthly production to 20,000 units by June.
The Xiaomi SU7 has been dominating the automobile industry in China since its debut. It achieved its first milestone by delivering 10,000 units in its initial month of sales. Subsequently, the company delivered up to 90,000 units over the next 198 days, followed by an additional 30,000 cars in just 45 days, culminating in 130,000 deliveries by December 28.
In addition, the company’s repeated sales reached 16,328 units in December, according to China EV DataTracker, marking an excellent performance for a vehicle launched less than a year ago.
Xiaomi also celebrated the first anniversary of the SU7’s launch on December 28, 2023. It’s worth noting that Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its second-phase car plant in 2024, accelerating its capacity to meet the escalating demand for the flagship.
The company has revealed plans to launch two new models next year, including the three-motor SU7 Ultra sedan and the Xiaomi YU7 crossover. These models will feature significant advancements aimed at bolstering the brand's prominence in the domestic EV market.
