Xiaomi released the first foldable phone, Mix Flip in China at the beginning of 2024, as a rival of Samsung Galaxy's Z Flip 6 model which was later on followed by a release in Bulgaria in August, but now it has been released globally.

Design

Xiaomi Mix Flip consists of an enlarged 6.86-inch folding OLED screen with a 2,912 x 1,224-pixel resolution, with a 120Hz refresh rate, meanwhile, the cover screen consists of a 4.01-inch panel with a 1,392 x 1,208pixel resolution, featuring a 3,000nits peak brightness.

Chipset

The Mix Flip is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a massive 4,780mAh battery with a 67W threshold for an enhanced charging experience.

Camera

Coming to its camera, Xiaomi has integrated a Leica-branded rear camera system similar to other flagship models of the company featuring a 50MP primary camera with a 50MP 2x telephoto lens.

Additionally, the telephoto shooter sports a minimum focusing distance of approximately nine centimetres, with a 32MP selfie camera for an enhanced video calling experience.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip for the standard 12GB/512GB version is priced at €1,299 (~$1,447), in contrast to its rival Samsung that costs €1,199 (~$1,336) for the  Galaxy Z Flip 6 12GB/256GB base model. Xiaomi’s handset supports a larger battery, with enhanced camera capabilities, IP rating, wireless charging, and more.
