Reports have begun emerging on the internet that YouTube videos are automatically skipping to the end of the video for users with an adblocker installed in their devices.

YouTube videos skipping to end

This crackdown on adblockers, reportedly, stems from Google's amended policy involving how content is treated on its video streaming platform.

The implementation of a suppression plan on adblockers can be traced back to the past couple of months. Google's this decision was first enacted last year when a notification was displayed to users, urging them to stop using adblockers.

As a result, when the instruction widely neglected, the platform blocked video even from playing, eventually leading to mass uninstallation of adblockers by some users, alongside a handful of meticulously crafted hacks by clever-minded users.

YouTube video skips to end? Here's the resolution

To resolve or do away with this predicament, just uninstall any adblocker installed on your device.

While this seems to be a pretty simple solution, this is something users have been avoiding for too long, which is probably what irked the search giant to undertake swift measures to ensure the adherence of its instructions.

Reason behind YouTube skipping to end of video

Some users also reported that they faced this when the video is replayed and, when they tried skipping to a certain part of the video, it endlessly loads. Similar to what's happening right now, an error in AdBlock decelerated YouTube videos' buffer time while also inflicting an undue stress on the device.

In response to that, the platform faced backlash as users began accusing YouTube of deliberately causing this.
