Amazon has unveiled Lens Live, a new tool that helps users search for products visually using artificial intelligence. This feature is an enhancement of Amazon Lens, the company's current visual search tool.

Lens Live enables users to view products on Amazon that match real-world objects by pointing their phone's camera at them.

Amazon Lens Live features

This feature runs on AWS-managed Amazon OpenSearch and leverages Amazon's SageMaker services. Customers can tap on any item in their camera view to focus on it when using Lens Live.

Following that, they have the option to save the item to their wish list or add it to their shopping cart.

Lens Live is integrated with Amazon's AI shopping assistant Rufus, which offers customers conversational prompts to learn more about the product and product insights. This enables consumers to view product insights and conduct brief product research prior to making a purchase.

Amazon Lens Live availability

Lens Live will be available to "tens of millions" of American consumers via the iOS version of the Amazon Shopping app.

Customers can find items they're interested in even if they don't know the exact name or details thanks to this feature, which is meant to make shopping simpler and more convenient.

Amazon hopes to enhance the shopping experience and give customers more relevant and personalised results by utilising AI technology. Customers can find new products and make well-informed decisions about what to buy with Lens Live.
