Android 16 Beta has arrived and is no longer exclusive to Google Pixel phones. The new Android release introduces enhanced security, enhanced battery life, and more intelligent AI features to smartphones.

Although Android 16 has been testing for Pixel users for a while, Google has just released Android 16 Beta 4, the second platform stability update. That implies the APIS and features are finalised now, and developers can begin to create apps for Android 16.

If you don't own a Pixel, you can still experiment with Android 16. Google has collaborated with phone manufacturers such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and realme to provide Android 16 Beta on specific phones. These builds are primarily intended for developers or tech enthusiasts and might not be stable enough to use daily.

Android 16 Beta supported phones

Here’s a list of phones that now support the Android 16 Beta update:

  • HONOR Magic 7 Pro (MagicOS Global & China)
  • Lenovo YOGA Tab Plus (ZUI)
  • OnePlus 13 (Oxygen OS & Colour OS)
  • OPPO Find X8 (Color OS Global & China)
  • realme GT 7 Pro (realme UI Global & China)
  • iQOO 13 / vivo X200 Pro (Funtouch OS & Origin OS)
  • Xiaomi 14T Pro / Xiaomi 15 / Redmi K70 Ultra (Hyper OS Global & China)

If your phone isn’t on this list, you can still try Android 16 using Generic System Images (GSI) or the Android Emulator on a PC. But make sure not to use your daily phone, as these test versions can be buggy.
