Right at a time when Apple is all set to launch its long-awaited iPhone 16 series along with upgrades to its other flagship products, Huawei seems to have captured the limelight Apple should embrace for hosting its annual keynote today.

Coming on the heels of the iPhone 16 launch and Apple event, the Huawei Mate XT will make its debut tomorrow September 10, 2024, and adding to the amazement around the company’s triple-foldable is the reservation of its 3 million units.

Such huge toll of pre-launch reservations ranks Huawei on the list of premium smartphones on the market, a milestone not every smartphone manufacturer can attain.

The latest Huawei tri-fold phone's rise to popularity does not solely stem from advanced booking of 3 million units, but the integration of 16GB RAM which gets together with the 512GB and 1TB storage options.

The most startling aspect of the development is that many netizens on Weibo claim that the iPhone 16 launch during today's Apple event isn't as exciting as Huawei's Mate XT slated to be launched on September 10, but since both of the devices are in the pipeline, it would be unethical to draw a comparison and consider one superior over the other.

The upper-tier variant, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, will be offered in two shades: Black and Red, the latter of which instils a dominant aura onto the smartphone's exterior.

The reservations for the Mate XT tri-fold are still open and will run through September 19, following which the Chinese phone maker will put the device on official sale.
