Apple enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the iPhone 16 series later this year, and a burning question on everyone's mind is its price point. With flagship iPhones traditionally residing in the premium range, potential upgraders are keen to get a head start on budgeting.

Although the official launch is still several months away, speculations about the iPhone 16's display, screen size, and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features have already whipped fans into a frenzy. Analysing past launches can offer some clues about potential pricing.

According to CNET, the base model iPhones have consistently started around $799 for several years, even with new features. Pro models have similarly held steady at $999.

However, there was a price bump with the iPhone 15 Pro Max last year, retailing for $1,199, a $100 increase compared to its predecessors.

Apple also did away with the lower 128GB storage tier, making 256GB the new baseline, pushing the starting price even higher. While the iPhone 16 might boast upgraded cameras and functionalities, reports suggest it will likely follow a similar pricing structure as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 series.

This news might be a sigh of relief for some budget-conscious Apple fans, but it's still wise to stay tuned for official announcements closer to the release date.
