The next iPhone series is set to take a giant photographic leap as leaks that emerged recently suggested that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro would deliver innovative technology, enhanced performance, and significantly improved experience.
With the rumours of new design, features and unique upgrades, these models have become some of the most-awaited devices of the year.
iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro camera features (rumoured)
The iPhone 17 and 17 Pro are rumoured to feature significant improvements in both front and rear cameras. The front camera would reportedly see a major upgrade from the 12 MP sensor in the iPhone 16 Pro to a 24 MP unit. This means better selfies, videos, and enhanced face detection.
On the other hand, all three cameras are expected to have 48 MP sensors. This includes the ultrawide, main, and periscope zoom telephoto lenses. The iPhone 16 had two 48 MP sensors but iPhone 17 Pro would upgrade even the telephoto lens.
Moreover, the main sensor would be 48 MP 1/1.3-inch type, the ultrawide would also be 48 MP, and the periscope camera could offer 5x optical telephoto zoom.
iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro design and additional features
Several other leaks suggest a design change for the iPhone 17 Pro, featuring an elongated horizontal camera module. While this design change is yet to be confirmed, it heightens the excitement surrounding the new iPhone lineup.
The iPhone 17 Pro's camera upgrades are expected to be reflected in its price, given the premium features. The main sensor's bigger aperture would allow for better light intake and clarity, enhancing the overall photography experience.
