Apple has released developer beta 3 updates for its current operating systems, including visionOS 2.5, tvOS 18.5, and others.
These updates are now available for developers as the company prepares for the major software event, WWDC 2025, scheduled for June.
Apple developer beta 3 update
- The new beta versions include:
- iOS 18.5
- iPadOS 18.5
- macOS Sequoia 15.5
- visionOS 2.5
- watchOS 11.5
- tvOS 18.5
- HomePod Software 18.5
These updates come as part of Apple's commitment to enhancing the user experience before releasing iOS 19, macOS 16, and others.
However, no significant features have been detected in these third beta releases so far. A majority of updates appear to lie in bug patches, performance tuning, and slight design adjustments.
Apple visionOS update
visionOS is the operating system behind Apple Vision Pro, a mixed-reality headset. It brings real and digital worlds together, where users can interact with apps and spaces by using their eyes, hands, and voice.
This visionOS 2.5 beta update could be refining the experience even more for developers.
Although the latest beta updates do not reveal dramatic changes, Apple tends to reserve feature releases for the end release notes. There are updates that remain hidden throughout testing and only emerge close to the public release.
As beta 3 has already been released, we are probably nearing the end of the public release, slated for May. As the updates have small changes, Apple may shorten the beta testing process this time.
