Apple has released the third beta for iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS Sequoia 15.3, introducing several notable changes to Apple Intelligence. One major update involves disabling notification summaries for news and entertainment apps.
This change appears to be a temporary solution to address issues related to inaccurate or poorly generated summaries. Apple is expected to reintroduce this feature in future updates.
In the latest beta, users can now disable notification summaries directly from the Lock Screen on a per-app basis. To distinguish notification summaries from standard notifications, Apple has updated their appearance, displaying them in italicised text.
Additionally, Apple has introduced bug fixes and minor adjustments across various features. The Camera Control button on iPhone 16 models has been refined, with the “AR/AF Lock” toggle renamed to “Lock Focus and Exposure” for improved clarity. In the Messages app, users can now access the latest Genmoji option via the “+” button, enhancing creativity and functionality.
The final release of iOS 18.3 is expected by the end of January.
This iOS 18.3 Beta 3 update underscores Apple’s commitment to refining its ecosystem and enhancing the user experience with each iteration.
