Apple has announced that it will release the second iteration of the iOS 18 beta next Monday, exactly two weeks after its initial announcement at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The iOS 18 beta is the second batch of the latest software upgrade available to developers, introducing two new features: iPhone mirroring and SharePlay.

Apple has not yet rolled out all the features discussed at WWDC, but it is expected that new additions will continue to be made in a similar manner to these features.

Previously, Apple revealed that Apple Intelligence and some other iOS 18 features would not be available in the European Union (EU).

iPhone mirroring will allow users to mirror their iPhone screen on a Mac and interact similarly, including receiving notifications and seamlessly dragging and dropping content.

Here are the details from Apple on SharePlay screen sharing: "With enhanced screen sharing capabilities, you can draw on someone’s screen so they can see what to do on theirs, or control their screen and take actions yourself."

In addition to these new features, the update is expected to address some bugs and make a few tweaks.

iOS 18 beta 2 and other beta releases will be available for developers on Monday, with a public beta coming in July. Apple plans to begin beta testing select Apple Intelligence features this summer.

The current beta 2 release will be followed by a public beta in July and the final launch in September, alongside the new iPhones.
