Apple's iOS 26 update has added some incredible new features to the "Photos app." At WWDC25, Apple unveiled a few new features that increase the app's usefulness even more.
Events like sporting events or concerts can now be identified in your photos by the Photos app. The app will combine your photos and provide additional information if you've been to one of these events.
To access the event details, users can follow these steps:
- Select a picture from a recognised event in the Photos app.
- Instead of the usual info button, look for the special ticket button.
- To view the new events panel with information such as set lists, scores, and more, tap the ticket button.
The Photos app will provide you with the set list, the artists that performed, the venue, related playlists, and future performances if you're at a concert.
It will display the scoreboard, the location, and the next events during athletic events. The particular concert or sporting event you attended will also be the name of a memory in the Collections tab.
Even though it may not have been everyone's top priority, this feature is undoubtedly a pleasant addition that many users will value.
Having pertinent information, such as a concert set list, is a great way to enhance your most treasured memories, which is the goal of the Photos app.
