Apple recently revealed a major software change, Liquid Glass, during its WWDC 2025 event. This new design could be a preview of Apple's anticipated AR (Augmented Reality) glasses, which are anticipated to launch next year.

By treating each window as a see-through, slightly reflective pane of glass, Liquid Glass gives the screen a sleek appearance.

Apple's Vision Pro VR headset, which costs $3,500 but offers an amazing user experience, served as the model for the design.

By superimposing windows on the real world rather than a synthetic backdrop, the Vision Pro lessens the sense of confusion associated with virtual reality.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s AR glasses are expected to have similar features to competitors like Google's smart glasses and Meta's Ray-Bans.

They are expected to have features such as cameras, microphones, and speakers. There will be a built-in Siri that will assist with things like answering calls, playing music, and providing directions.

Additionally, notifications, images, and other overlays will be shown on the glasses in a manner that is intended to blend in with the environment.

Apple's biggest challenge will be to perfect the design of these transparent components so that they don't block the user's view.

AR glasses have the potential to revolutionise the industry if implemented properly. Liquid Glass is probably going to be included in the rumoured AR glasses because of the similarities between it and the Vision Pro.
