
Asus has officially launched the latest variant of its ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet for 2025 at CES 2025, showcasing impressive design and performance updates including AMD's integrated graphics, particularly the new "Strix Halo" chipset.
The tablet is packed with a wide array of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-packed features.
This 13-inch tablet is similar to the Surface Pro, featuring an enhanced enlarged glass window at the back. The ROG Flow Z13 is configured along with the Ryzen AI Max 390 or the Ryzen AI Max Plus 395. The Max Plus 395 model consists of 16 CPU cores and 40 graphics cores, while the Max 390 has 12 CPU cores and 32 graphics cores.

It incorporates a redesigned stainless steel vapour chamber with a 120W TDP for these graphics-heavy chips, ensuring efficient cooling.
The tablet is equipped with a 2560 x 1600 touchscreen display that boasts a smooth 180Hz refresh rate. For connectivity, it includes USB 4, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card slot.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 also supports Wi-Fi 7 and USB-C Power Delivery for more efficient charging, with a 200W power adapter to enhance performance during intensive tasks.
In addition, it includes a detachable keyboard along with enlarged keycaps and, a bigger touchpad for enhanced typing. It comes with the latest "ScreenXpert" button for quick access to settings. The company claimed a 10 hour long battery life on a single charge, and early hands-on reports indicated that it performs admirably with gaming tasks, offering smooth gameplay in titles like Helldivers 2.
While the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers stronger integrated graphics for a tablet, it lacks Thunderbolt 5, limiting its compatibility with Asus’ XG Mobile eGPU. This restriction makes it less compelling compared to other gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck.

ASUS ROG Flow Z13 launch date is still under wraps which has yet to be confirmed by the company. However, it is likely to go on sale starting in February.
