Gearbox Software has released a minor patch for its popular looter shooter, Borderlands 4, which includes several buffs, fixes, and quality of life changes.
Reportedly, Borderlands 4 features fast-paced gunfights, wacky humour, and innumerable loot combinations; there are continual changes as the developers tweak the balancing prior to the 2nd full patch on October 16.
Borderlands 4 update
The most recent update to Borderlands 4 mainly focuses on weapon balancing and bug fixes. One notable fix is Vex’s Infinite Bleed build, which was unintentionally nerfed with an earlier update.
Gearbox confirmed that this build has been fixed, and the bleed effect will now again count as a status effect, allowing players to deal consistent damage as they did previously.
In this update, multiple Legendary weapons received notable buffs to improve gameplay balancing. Ruby’s Grasp can now deal 50% more damage and shoot 25% faster, while Bully and Rangefinder also received substantial increases to their power.
The Queen’s Rest pistol now fires 50% faster and has an increased perk spawn rate from 30% to 50%. Those using the Seventh Sense, Hellwalker, and Convergence weapons will see higher damage output, making combat more intense and rewarding.
In addition to the weapons, Gearbox has made quality-of-life changes throughout the gameplay. Pet-based skills, such as Forgeweapons, Spectres, and
The Anarchy shotgun has also been fixed to award Mutualism stacks when reloading or defeating enemies.
While this update may be smaller, Borderlands 4 players can expect more big changes soon. Gearbox has teased that the upcoming October 16 patch will address several “unintended interactions”, likely affecting popular builds such as the Crit Knife combo with Vex’s Bloodletter skill.
