A new leak about Fortnite suggests that Epic Games is preparing for a new crossover, this time with Disney’s anticipated sci-fi movie Tron: Ares.

With this crossover encompassing a tie-in to the movie's release, it is rumoured to occur a few days before the movie debuts in theatres.

The new release of Tron: Ares, a continuation of the longstanding Tron series, will debut in theatres on October 10, making it the first movie in the franchise since Tron: The Legacy was released in 2010.

This release is already incredibly anticipated as a result of it being one of the most promising sci-fi releases to look forward to for the coming year. Fortnite previously did a crossover with Tron back in 2021, so it would not be a shock to fans if there was one again.

According to a famous Fortnite leaker HYPEX on X (formerly Twitter), the new Tron: Ares skin will drop on October 7, with an official reveal on Monday.

While the specifics of the skin have not been revealed, it will be associated with two new emotes that will be added to the expanding list of in-game cosmetics to add to the skins in Fortnite.

Fortnite has become known for its extensive collaborations over the years, from music stars like Sabrina Carpenter to gaming icons like Poppy Playtime.

The game’s steady stream of crossovers keeps its massive player base constantly engaged, and the rumoured Tron: Ares event appears to be the next big addition to that list.

Meanwhile, recent leaks have also hinted at a Simpsons-themed mini-season coming to Fortnite on November 1, featuring a map inspired by Springfield.
