In a significant step to facilitate commuters, BYD Pakistan has officially announced a limited-time offer for its new Shark 6 PHEV, the country’s first plug-in hybrid pickup.
Taking to Facebook, on its official page, BYD Pakistan stated that customers who book the vehicle before August 17 will receive a free 7kW home charger.
“Get a complimentary charger with your BYD Shark 6 – offer valid till August 17,” it said.

The Shark 6 PHEV, launched last month for Rs19.95 million with bookings starting from Rs3.95 million, combines a 1.5T hybrid engine with dual permanent magnet synchronous motors, producing 321 kW and 650 Nm torque.

BYD Shark 6 PHEV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and delivers up to 800 kilometres of total driving range, including around 100 kilometres on electric power alone.
Inside, the BYD’s plug-in hybrid truck offers a 25-inch LCD, Dynaudio 12-speaker audio, ventilated and heated power-adjustable seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless charger, NFC digital key, and dual-zone climate control with rear vents.
BYD Shark 6 safety features
BYD packed the Shark with safety technology normally reserved for premium SUVs:
- Six airbags (including side and far-side)
- 360° Camera with parking sensors
- Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking
- Lane Departure Warning and Prevention
- Blind Spot Detection and Cross Traffic Alert
- Driver Fatigue Monitor System
BYD has not skimped on design or features. The LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs), shark fin antenna, and aluminium roof tracks fashion practicality with style.
