Nishat Motors is gearing up to launch a new SUV, named the 'Jaecoo J5', which will expand its lineup with advanced features in Pakistan, providing drivers with more control over the car to ensure a smooth experience.
The Jaecoo J5 is expected to join as another locally assembled model in Pakistan, offering a better experience. The J5 will come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a hybrid powertrain.
The crossover is expected to compete with the Haval Jolion HEV. The company entered the market in August with two electric SUVs, the Jaecoo J6 and Omoda E5, followed by the locally assembled Jaecoo J7 PHEV in October.
The Jaecoo J5 HEV variant has not been launched yet, but the company plans to launch it in the South African market by 2026, which also hints that Pakistan is among the early markets to receive the hybrid variant.
Jaecoo J5 features
The J5 model is highly expected to include six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), a 540-degree camera system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The global model include leather seating, electric front seats, a moonroof, a power tailgate, dual zone climate control, and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The exact pricing and launch timeline are unknown, while the company is expected to reveal official details of the Jaecoo J5 near its launch.
