Hyundai Pakistan is reportedly gearing up to launch its flagship Palisade SUV, possibly before the highly anticipated GWM Tank 500, which is rumoured to debut nationwide by early 2026.

PakWheels reported that the Tank 500 (in HEV/PHEV variants) is expected to begin local assembly by early 2026. Hyundai is already finalising the paperwork and logistics for the Palisade’s arrival, which could give it a first-mover advantage in the growing premium SUV segment for the Pakistani market.

The Palisade SUV —  with a seven-seater facility — offers seating for up to eight passengers and could provide Pakistani customers with a new, high-end alternative in the market.

Meanwhile, the Tank 500 remains one of the highly anticipated SUVs in Pakistan, while Sazgar has officially confirmed that the Tank 500, including HEV/PHEV variants, will be available in Pakistan by March 2026 at the latest.

If Hyundai Pakistan launch the Palisade SUV before the Tank 500, it could potentially shift buyers' interest in the premium segment and change the dynamics of the automotive industry.
