Activision has announced significant updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, addressing the growing concerns of console players who regret over the presence of cheaters and the advantages enjoyed by personal computer (PC) players in ranked mode.
The upcoming feature, set to launch at the beginning of the second season on January 28, will allow console players to disable crossplay.
This feature ensures they can compete exclusively against other console players, mitigating the issues caused by cheaters and reducing the disparity in hardware advantages often exploited by PC users.
It is important to note that players are required to have at least 50 wins in multiplayer mode to access the ranked mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, a highly anticipated addition to the franchise, is among the largest games in terms of total players and hours played. The game is set in an alternate history timeline in 1991, where players follow the gripping story of Troy Marshall and Frank Woods as they recruit a team of agents to hunt down the mysterious organisation known as Pantheon.
The significant update reflects Activision’s unwavering commitment to addressing player feedback and ensuring a balanced and enjoyable gaming experience.
