To make the federal capital an even more modern and digitally equipped city, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to introduce digital parking in all major parks across the capital.

This decision was made during a meeting on Thursday, chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa. Proposals for improving resource management, operational efficiency, and revenue generation were discussed at the meeting.

CDA members, the DG Resource Wing, ED Capital Hospital, and other relevant senior officers attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DG Resource Wing provided a detailed briefing on proposals and practical policy interventions aimed at optimising performance and tapping into untapped resources.

The introduction of digital parking in major parks in Islamabad was one of the key proposals.

The revenue generated from the parks will be spent on the development and maintenance of the parks, the CDA chairman stated.

Additionally, strategies for streamlining operations across key CDA Wings and departments, including the Environment Wing, Capital Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, and the Enforcement Wing, were reviewed.

The CDA chairman stressed the need for seamless coordination across CDA directorates and Wings to implement approved initiatives and proposals effectively.

Moreover, other proposals included identifying revenue-generating sites, re-auctioning inactive sites, and introducing premium recreational facilities in the city.
