OpenAI launched the ChatGPT Windows app which is only available for subscribers. The app is currently in the testing phase and users can easily install its early variant from the Microsoft Store.

It allows users to ask artificial intelligence (AI)-centric chatbot questions in a window that users can keep open along with your apps to access it within a couple of minutes by Alt + Space shortcut. Moreover, it’s quite similar to the ChatGPT Mac app.

ChatGPT Windows app also allow users to upload media to ChatGPT, offering them access to a preview of OpenAI’s o1 “reasoning.” However, it still lacks a few advanced capabilities which are required to be added by the ChatGPT manufacturer.

Furthermore, OpenAI encrypted your stored data, ensuring the user's utmost security after a developer complained about a security issue in the ChatGPT app on Mac a few months ago.

However, the ChatGPT Windows app is currently only available for ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu subscribers but it will be rolled out for everyone in the near future.
