In an effort to increase tourism and fortify international relations, China has extended the visa-free entry policy for a number of nations, including France, until December 31, 2026.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry will also extend the policy to Sweden beginning on November 10.

Under the visa-free policy, qualified visitors may enter China for transit, business, tourism, or family visits for a maximum of 30 days.

By this action, China is attempting to recover its tourism industry, which was severely damaged by the pandemic.

As a major trading partner, China has been trying to strengthen ties with the European Union.

During a routine press briefing, China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated, "We are committed to keeping communication channels open to ensure stability in industrial and supply chains."
