Little Rocket Lab, a cosy indie game, is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 10, ending its brief Xbox Series X/S exclusivity, following the game’s debut on October 7 for Xbox and PC.

The game is a hybrid of RPG and factory simulation. Players follow Morgan, a young engineer, as she rebuilds her childhood home and constructs a full-fledged rocket factory.

To do that, Morgan needs to gather resources, craft her supply chains, and expand her factory as she explores a cosy little village full of friendly NPCs. Along the way, players solve puzzles, complete quests, and build intricate contraptions.

The Switch version costs $19.99 (around Rs5,654), just like the Xbox, PC, and Steam versions do. The publisher of the game, No More Robots, has not explained why it took so long to bring the game to Switch, but the relatively short wait probably helped Teenage Astronauts iron out any remaining issues.

Little Rocket Lab's town is divided into multiple themed areas, including coasts, quarries, underground zones, and rail yards. Each offers different challenges.

Reportedly, one full playthrough takes about 33 hours, which is an extremely high value for a cosy indie game.

This marks No More Robots' 15th game to release on the Nintendo Switch. Further ports have not been confirmed, but the publisher has released the likes of Descenders Next, Soccer Story, and Fashion Police Squad on PlayStation consoles in the past. A potential PlayStation release cannot be ruled out later down the line.

Meanwhile, fans of cosy indie games who own a Switch might want to check out Spirittea, a life-sim title from Cheesemaster Games featuring influences of Stardew Valley and Spirited Away.

Little Rocket Lab is now available for pre-order on the Switch eShop.
