Huawei and Dongfeng Group have partnered to create new electric vehicles (EVs). Both companies will indulge in developing mid-range and high-end smart cars while working to offer smarter mobility solutions to their customers.

Dongfeng Motor Corporation has developed several brands to date. The recent one jointly built with Huawei is Voyah with advanced driving solutions.

Currently, the company is set to expand its Yipai brand by teaming up with Huawei to create new EVs.

Earlier in 2023, the Yipai brand launched and currently owns two models under its belt: the Yipai (eπ) 007 sedan and eπ 008 crossover. The sales of both these cars reached 45,4447 units last year, whereas the sales of Yipai remained lesser than Huawei AITO (385,904 units).

Under this deal, Huawei and Dongfeng will “deepen cooperation in the fields of smart car product development, marketing, and ecological services, create the ultimate smart travel experience based on user needs, and jointly create a series of mid-to-high-end smart vehicle products.”

Huawei has a number of BEV development collaborations with local automakers, including state-owned BAIC Group, GAC Group and Changan Automobile, using the technology company’s smart, connected technologies.
