Following its initial debut in the United States, Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) has started rolling out its dedicated vertical video feed to users worldwide.

The feature, which was spotted on Friday, is similar to those used by other social media platforms such as Meta’s Instagram and TikTok. It was first launched in the US amid uncertainty surrounding TikTok's future in the market.

Vertical video feed feature on X

The vertical video feed allows X users to scroll through short videos, providing an engaging and entertaining experience. It also enables the platform to display advertisements after a few videos are viewed.

An X spokesperson confirmed the global rollout, stating that the feature now appears as a dedicated tab in the X app, located next to the Grok button. The feature has been observed in various regions, including Australia, India, and several European markets.

However, it is important to note that the feature is currently only available to iOS users, with no specific timeline announced for its launch on Android devices.

X has been placing a significant focus on improving its video experiences. Last year, the Musk-owned platform launched a standalone TV app, showcasing videos from creators and organisations.

Additionally, in 2022, X introduced a feature that allowed users to view and interact with short videos by tapping on a video in the timeline and swiping upwards.
