Fortnite is expanding beyond its well-known battle royale mode. To make it more convenient for players to move around the game's various modes, Epic Games is adjusting how battle passes work.
Starting from November 2, experience points earned in any Fortnite experience would count towards any battle pass, including Lego Fortnite and the music-themed Fortnite Festival passes.
Unified XP system for all battle passes
Currently, special passes like Lego Fortnite and Fortnite Festival are accessed using "studs" and "festival points." These would now be replaced by XP points to make the process more straightforward and without having to toggle between different point systems.
December 1st sees the loss of "festival points" in Music Pass and "studs" in Lego Pass and would progress solely with XP. Meanwhile, the main battle pass would see an end to the "battle stars" also given in reward for the acquisition of XP.
This change would make Fortnite more than one mode. It's turning into a platform with numerous types of game experiences from battle royals to games created by creators.

Through allowing XP across all experiences, players would find it easier to get excited about new content without needing to start over in separate currencies.
There are a few more changes coming. After December 1, the Music and Lego Passes would have a free track and a premium track with exclusive rewards.
Epic would also offer a direct purchase of a particular reward, meaning the players do not have to grind through the levels for an item. In addition, Epic plans to make it possible to buy all the passes at once to make it easier to purchase.
These changes occur right before the end of Fortnite's Marvel-themed season. There is a new "Remix" season expected to be launched, which takes players back to the Chapter 2 island and gives another nostalgic trip through the game's history.
