The Galaxy S26 Ultra has already led to a hysteria among Galaxy lovers, yet a fresh leak on the internet has sparked a fresh wave of hype, claiming that a groundbreaking “Privacy Display” will be offered for enhanced user control over screen visibility in public settings.
The rumour suggests that this enormously fruitful feature is likely to significantly improve privacy for users.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra's Privacy Display was disclosed in a teardown of the One UI 8.5 build by @achultra on X (formerly Twitter), according to Samaa.tv. It is designed to make it more difficult for bystanders and strangers in your surroundings to take a peek into your screen contents from side angles, automatically activating in crowded or public environments.
Screenshots from the leak indicated that users will have customisable options for the Privacy Display, allowing them to decide when it activates, whether it turns on automatically, and which apps or content to protect.
It was learned that the Galaxy S26 Ultra's Privacy Display might even deal with environmental detection, activating when users are on public transport or in busy meeting rooms.
If the leak has anything to go by, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will enable users to protect private and sensitive information, including lock screen details (PINs, passwords), private photos, notifications, and picture-in-picture windows.
While the rumour is unique and useful enough to be well received and capture an overwhelming audience, Samsung has yet to make an official announcement.
It remains clear that the Privacy Display addition to the upcoming Galaxy phone is tentative and may change before launch.
