Google has officially updated its Discover page in the flagship Search app, which will now allow you to follow specific publishers and creators to surface more content.

Alphabet-owned Google said users will also start to view different types of content on the Discover page, including articles, YouTube Shorts, and posts from X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram from creators and publishers across the web.

The company noted that it will add more types of sources to this mix in the future.

With the new update, Google aims to provide users more control over their content while also expanding its Discover page to include a wider variety of sources.

How to use Discover page?

To use the feature, when you see content from a specific publisher or creator, you can tap their name to view all their content on one page and opt to follow them.

Google said it will show more content from creators you follow. Notably, these announcements have come at a time when publishers are seeing their traffic plummet because of Google’s AI search.

The company also launched a product called “Offerwall”, which allows publishers to earn revenue from sources other than ads.
