Google Assistant provides a plethora of great voice-enabled functionalities, but Google Gemini, an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) from Google, is expected to replace it.

Currently, the Gemini assistant only entails a single voice; however, the Alphabet-owned company is reportedly working to integrate more and enhanced voice options for Gemini, according to 9to5Google.

The 9to5Google report further stated that the company is mulling to introduce a female-voiced assistant for its Gemini AI.

This inclusion could have likely been undertaken so users could have an extensive range of voice options to choose from. Additionally, the latest sound provides a neutral tone in contrast to its predecessor voice options.

However, if you are an iPhone user then you would be disappointed to know that this enhanced voice experience is only available on Android phones and it doesn’t include any option to switch back the voice.

Moreover, it is tipped to be integrated for a specified time and available in a few countries across the globe.

It is certainly a great step towards excellence which would offer an enhanced user experience and observe rapid adoption by users who have been expecting voice personalisation for a long time. Eventually, it’s a great way to expand the company's ecosystem in the evolving field of AI.

Additionally, this move is a great challenge to OpenAI’s recent voice features for GPT-4o, which would surely ignite some fierce competition in the generative AI field that would accelerate the development timelines.
