Google Pixel 9 series leak: Cases hint at new 'Pro XL' variant

Google Pixel 9 family is likely to be officially released in October. However, alleged case leaks for the Pixel 9 and Pixel Fold 2 have appeared on the web.

The transparent protective cases that surfaced from a famous case maker indicated various variants for the Pixel 9. The case for the Pixel Fold 2 suggests a relatable design language to that of the Pixel Fold.

Moreover, the forthcoming foldable smartphone will likely feature larger screens than its older models. Taking to Thinborne website, case maker leaked renders of Google Pixel 9 and Pixel Fold 2 case. It’s expected to be made of 600D Aramid Fibre material and support MagSafe compatibility.

The listings on the Thinborne website suggested that Google aims to unveil a Pixel 9 Pro XL model along with its Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro variants soon.

The case renders of Pixel Fold 2 indicate a similar design language to Pixel Fold. However, the designs might change before the official release of the smartphones.

The smartphones might run with Android 15 and Tensor G4 SoC. The vanilla Pixel 9 is suggested to feature a 6.24-inch display. Whereas, the Pro and XL models might boast 6.24-inch and 6.73-inch screens. The panels are expected to be of AMOLED variety with a 120Hz refresh rate.
