
Google Pixel Fold 2, most awaited foldable phone, is expected to be released in May at the Google annual developer conference.
Alphabet-owned tech giant is preparing to bring improvements in Google Pixel Fold 2. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young on Thursday shared that Google Pixel Fold is likely to feature a tablet-size screen with an 8.02-inch foldable display and 6.29-inch cover screen.
Young revealed that both screens — foldable display and cover screen — of Pixel Fold 2 would be bigger than its previous model. It will boast a 7.26-inch inner foldable screen and a 5.28-inch outer display.
It should be noted that the Google Pixel Fold s likely to ship with Tensor G2 SoC, with a Titan M2 security chip and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, having a triple rear camera unit, comprising 48-mega pixel primary wide-angle lens, a 10.8-mega pixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens.
Meanwhile, Google Pixel Fold’s front camera will support a 9.5-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Fold 2 will have Android 13, capacity of 4,821mAh with support for 30W charging and wireless charging, having 12GB RAM and 256GB storage space for users.
While users are eagerly waiting for the smartphone, the analyst shared the timeline as per which the production of the panels for the book-style foldable is said to begin in April 2024.
