Google rolls out Android Cross-Device services

Google has started rolling out its Android Cross-device services, enabling seamless sharing of internet and casting of calls across devices.

This feature allows easy switching between Android, Chromebook, and desktop browsers by linking devices for Android users.

How to access Google access Cross-device services

To access Cross-device services, you open the Settings app > scroll to Google > click the All services > tap Devices & sharing > toggle on Cross-device services.

Creating the device group will require signing in to the same Google Account for every device. Preferences must be turned on each device.

Call casting feature

The feature of call casting is quite user-friendly as it allows casting of calls between devices using Google Meet. Hence the Cast icon click allows for seamless switching in video calls of Android phones or desktop browsers, tablets.

Internet sharing feature

Internet sharing is another feature important enough that can share hotspot access without the need of any passwords. Users can share internet access across Android devices, excluding Samsung, and Chromebooks using Instant hotspot, Bluetooth, and device location.

Users can toggle on and off features in Cross-device services. View connected devices and added manage. This feature will roll out with the Google Play services version 24.35.30 on Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.
