Search giant Google has long been in the headlines due to its much-hyped Android XR smart glasses it's developing with Samsung, but unfortunately, it has emerged that Google and Samsung's smart glasses will not launch before 2026.

Citing a recent report by The Korean Economic Daily, Android Authority outlined that while the tech duo has begun demonstrations of the glasses' prototype, its commercial launch won't take place before 2026.

Very recently, a Google executive provided virtual reality enthusiasts with a sneak peek into a working prototype of the Google-Samsung wearable technology.

In the wake of properties showcased during the prototype demo carried out last week, the yet-to-come smart glasses are equipped with live language translation—from Farsi to English—on-screen text scanning, and an incredible memory function which resurfaces data extracted from he recently encountered visuals.

These features will purportedly be incorporated on the sidelines of major Android XR perks like Gemini AI, Android app support, and even navigation functions. The integration of Android Auto is also said to be in the pipeline.

Given the seemingly extensively distant launch schedule, various notable features of Google and Samsung's upcoming Android XR smart glasses are yet to be confirmed by the companies involved, which, if nothing, will suffice in retaining the hype around the futuristic gadget.
