
Director General of Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi has announced a greater convenience for Hajj pilgrims in 2025, as passports will now be issued within just 24 hours. This expedited service aims to streamline preparations for the holy pilgrimage for millions of Muslims planning to perform the Hajj next year.
To facilitate this, special counters dedicated to Hajj pilgrims will be established at all regional passport offices, including the headquarters. Additionally, this service will extend to passport offices worldwide, ensuring that pilgrims across the globe can be facilitated from this streamlined process.
Qazi emphasised the commitment to prioritising Hajj applicants, and stated: "We are establishing special counters to deal with Hajj applicants on a priority basis. Pilgrims will be assured of receiving their passports within 24 hours."

This initiative marks a significant improvement over past years, where pilgrims often faced delays and challenges during the passport application process, especially during the Hajj season.
Government installment payment plans for Hajj 2025
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also announced installment plans for those applying under the government-run Hajj scheme for 2025. These plans aim to alleviate the financial burden for applicants, offering greater accessibility.
Here are the Hajj scheme packages for 2025:
- Standard package: A 38 to 42-day stay in Saudi Arabia
- Short package: A 20 to 25-day stay

The government Hajj scheme 2025 is likely to range between Rs1,075,000 and Rs1,175,000, depending on the package selected. Additional charges include:
- Sacrificial animal fee: Rs55,000
- Accommodation costs in Makkah: Between Rs75,000 and Rs220,000, varying on the location and amenities provided.
